When scheduling my appointment it showed availability for 830 then received a confirmation from the dealership. I get a call that they needed to move my appointment which they automatically do without consent. This has happened multiple times before including time that do not fit my schedule. Next, My husband took my car to be serviced. I requested new wiper blades. When scheduling my service the price showed $30. I figured there would be a charge for installation but, They ended up charging over $90 for wipers and installment. I wasn’t very happy that they didn’t notify my husband of the price.

I started going to this dealership for maintenance when I became a single mom. My kids are very active in sports and I am constantly driving them to tournaments. In addition to that, I have to drive myself to my cancer treatments. It’s very important that my car always works and is safe for me and my kids. Chris and Sam have always been so nice, professional and accommodating to ensure my vehicle is in its best shape. I know nothing about cars so I truly appreciate their patience in explaining what needs to be done. I keep going back because they are so nice and I never feel like they are trying to sell me on services I don’t actually need. Having to be a single parent dealing with cancer is hard enough. It’s nice to know I have good people looking out for me so I can make sure my kids and I get where we need to go.

Very disappointed. I had my front driver side TPI sensor replaced and the tire was balanced and installed. I just had more sensors go off and I was looking at the front tire they replaced and the paint is scraped off my black rim to bare metal. My rim is ruined. DISGUSTED TO SAY THE LEAST

Every single time I make an appointment for an oil change, I schedule it off the your website for a day and time that works for me. And EVERY SINGLE TIME I am called and told that the date and time I picked, “wasn’t actually available”. Completely unprofessional that this happens every single time. Because of this and many other reasons that started with the employee that sold me this car I am going to be trading this car in anywhere else but with you. Sam is amazing, always very polite and has a smile on his face. This is completely because of management being unprofessional.

My original visit was due to the key getting stuck in the ignition.This would happen about 5 times per week.I would have to restart the car to remove the key and was worried that I might not be able to remove it and get stuck somewhere.I brought the car in for service and told Chris it might be the steering wheel lock and if it was not to replace it.I waited two hours and was told the mechanic said it could be the key or ignition cylinder? I would try the key first as I had an extra.I was charged $200 The key was not the problem.The key continued to get stuck.The service manage Brian called me and said he would credit me on the cost of the repair for $200. On Friday 12/19/25 I brought the car back to get the ignition cylinder replaced.It would take a few hours and dealer gave me a ride home.I again asked Chris if it was the steering wheel lock causing the problem and was told no.On my return to dealer, they could not find my keys and after 15 mins the mechanic Blain told me I needed to return with the extra key to have it programed.When I returned I asked Blain if he thought the problem was corrected?He asked me what the exact problem was,He then proceeded to show me if the key got stuck to turn the steering wheel counter clockwise to release it.I asked him if that might have been the problem to start with?This is after I just paid $769 for the repair.If I was told this to begin with I might have avoided this charge.I certainly would have done this before getting the service done.I asked to speak to Brian the service manager.He started to debate this with me and I left rather than argue.Andrew Imperatore

They were fantastic to work with! Frank, my salesman, was extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure I had all the answers I needed. He worked very hard to find the exact vehicle I was looking for - and delivered perfect. Overall, this was the best experience I have had with a car dealer in the 30 years I've been buying cards. The only critique I have would be the comparatively high fees the dealer charges. $898 - when the highest I could find in the area, the Chevy dealer on the same street in fact, was $690.

I have a 2016 Chevy Malibu, I bought it used and after the 1st year I started noticing oil stains in my driveway and a smell like burnt oil. Brought it in and it was the head gasket. Thank God I have extended warranty. They fixed it and was good for 1 yr again I brought it in same trouble but this time when I took the oil cap off smoke would come out. They checked it out and same outcome. Head gasket. I was told this is an issue that this type of car is known for. Everyone was awesome, they helped me with a rental car and I couldn't be more pleased with their work and understanding. I felt they saw me not as a women but a customer that needed help. I dropped my car off on December 5th for a scheduled recall repair. While I was there, I also raised an issue with the cooling fan, which I later learned is covered under a separate GMC recall. At the time, I was under the impression that these repairs would take a few days—not nearly a month and a half. While I was offered a rental vehicle, the situation has been entirely inconvenient. My children are home from college and are unable to use the rental due to age restrictions, which has created significant logistical stress for our family. Managing transportation without my primary vehicle for this length of time has been extremely challenging. Additionally: I continue to pay my monthly car payment I pay over $40 per month for a car cleaning service that I have not been able to use I am paying for XM Satellite Radio on a vehicle I do not have I had my daughter’s birthday gift in the car that needed to be returned, and I have now missed the return window due to the vehicle being unavailable I have remained patient, understanding, and respectful throughout this process. However, I was recently informed—again—that my car will not be ready this week and maybe next week. This is simply not acceptable. I was also told that we are not waiting on parts, which leads me to ask directly: what is causing this delay? If parts are not the issue, I am struggling to understand why these recall repairs are still not complete after nearly six weeks. At this point, I am requesting: A clear and specific explanation of what is causing the continued delay An immediate timeline for completion The return of my vehicle as soon as possible Confirmation that I will not be charged for any service related to these repairs, along with consideration for the significant inconvenience and ongoing costs I have incurred during this time I do not enjoy escalating matters or being “the squeaky wheel,” but the length of this delay is unreasonable and well outside what I was led to expect. I have been a patron of Wallingford GMC, located at 1122 Old North Colony Road, Wallingford, CT, for the better part of 15 years. Over that time, I have leased approximately five vehicles, brought my wife into the business—who is now on her second lease—and have referred family and friends to the dealership based on consistently positive experiences. I have always appreciated the staff, the familiarity, and the professionalism I’ve encountered during routine maintenance visits. Until now, I have never had any reason to contact upper management or corporate leadership regarding my experience. That alone should underscore the seriousness of this matter. On Thursday, January 8th, 2026, at approximately 5:30 PM, I arrived at Wallingford GMC to pick up my leased vehicle following a scheduled oil change. I informed the front desk that I was there to retrieve my vehicle from service. A sales associate escorted me to the service department to finalize the process and return my keys. The associate located my account, confirmed my name and vehicle, and handed me my keys. When I asked how much I owed for the service, he reviewed the paperwork and stated I was “all set.” Given that I have had this vehicle for over a year and am familiar with service charges, this immediately raised concern for me. I questioned him again and explicitly asked him to confirm. He reviewed the documents once more and reiterated that I did not owe anything. I pressed a third time to ensure there was no mistake before putting my wallet away. Each time, I was told the same thing. Having made a clear and repeated effort to pay, I left the dealership in good faith. I may add- this interaction should be all on camera if there are cameras in the service department. Yesterday afternoon, (Tuesday, January 13, 2026 ) I received a call from the Service Manager questioning why payment had not been made. I returned the call at 1:55 PM and calmly explained the situation in full. Rather than acknowledging the breakdown in process, his response was dismissive—stating, “yeah, the sales guys don’t really know what they are doing.” I expressed concern that such a basic function was mishandled and suggested it may be something worth addressing internally. What followed was completely unacceptable. The Service Manager became hostile, aggressive, and immediately escalated the situation by threatening to cancel my entire account for nonpayment—despite my repeated explanations that I had attempted to pay at the time of pickup and was willing to do so immediately. I was then given an ultimatum: provide a card number on the spot or have my entire account canceled. This threat was repeated verbatim when I asked for clarification. At no point was there any attempt to de-escalate, explain, or take responsibility for the dealership’s internal error. Feeling pressured and wanting to prevent further escalation, I provided my card information. The payment was processed, and the call ended abruptly with a curt “Thanks” before he hung up. The entire interaction lasted no more than five minutes, yet it permanently altered my perception of this dealership. I want to be absolutely clear: this was not a misunderstanding—it was a failure in professionalism, customer service, and leadership. Being spoken to in a threatening and demeaning manner after 15 years of loyalty, referrals, and business is deeply concerning. The severity of this interaction has caused me to question whether Wallingford GMC values long-term customers at all. Had this situation involved my wife—or any customer less comfortable advocating for themselves—the outcome could have been even more troubling. No customer should ever be coerced, threatened, or spoken to in such a manner for an issue stemming from dealership error. I do not raise this complaint lightly. However, the seriousness of this incident leaves me with no confidence moving forward unless it is acknowledged and addressed at a higher level.
